In 2004, Patek Philippe introduced the reference 3711 (exclusively in white gold), equipped with automatic caliber 315 (SC) and a black dial. This watch marked the return of the time-only Nautilus “Jumbo”, previously discontinued in the early 1990s. The examples of the reference 3711 were produced for a limited period of time (between 2004 and 2006). The Patek Philippe 3711 served as the basis, with the new three-part case, for the "penultimate" and most famous generation of Nautilus, the 5711 model, which carried the Jumbo-only time from then until 2021, the year in which it definitively left the scene, before returning with the brand new reference 5811 in gold which opens a new chapter for one of the most loved watches of all time.
