Patek Philippe introduced the annual calendar complication for the first time in 1996, a revolutionary complication in the Swiss fashion house's panorama: more functional than standard triple calendar watches but more accessible and less expensive than the perpetual calendar complication.<\/p>\n

The reference 5035 initially did not meet with the right success: the 37.00mm case size was a "step backwards" for the maison which began to introduce the first 42.00mm diameter chronographs a few years later.<\/p>\n

Precisely because of this peculiarity in the diameter and design of the dial, this reference is increasingly popular in the world of collecting.<\/p>\n
